Shelf-Stable Emergency Pantry

Our Food Security Program maintains a shelf-stable food pantry that those in need in the Greater Williamsburg community may access once a month.  The pantry stocks such staples as rice, cereal, beans, canned vegetables, soups, pastas, sauces, canned meats, and canned fruits.

Mobile Food Pantry

The first Friday of each month, in partnership with the Virginia Peninsula Foodbank, we have a large-scale fresh food distribution that includes USDA.  Meat, vegetables, fruit, and baked goods are distributed to 200 families (700 individuals!) each month.

Participants must sign-up in person, in advance the first month.  Subsequent months you may call to be to put on the list for the following month.  For more information and eligibility requirements, please call our office at 757-253-0664

If you are interested in sponsoring the Mobile Food Pantry, or volunteering as an organization or individually, please contact Brenda Tamborini at btamborini@bedeva.org.  The Mobile Food Pantry is a great community-service opportunity for both individuals and organizations!
