How We Can Help You

How We Help

Housing

WHOM’s Housing Mission accompanies individuals and families on the journey from experiencing homelessness to lasting stability and self-sufficiency in their own home.

Our Approach

We provide a single point of accountability for the coordination of services to all clients, regardless of the program they are in. We are entrusted to offer each client the necessary support for them to begin breaking down barriers that currently prevent them from establishing and maintaining residential stability.

We are focused on being an advocate for those most vulnerable and being a voice for the voiceless. We navigate complex systems in an effort to make the journey less intimidating for our clients so they can focus on long term self-sustainability.

We believe that success is achieved when our clients are able to overcome homelessness with the help of a rapid rehousing program that leads them towards permanent housing. We also strive to provide them with the necessary resources and support to help them successfully maintain their housing. It is our goal to make a positive impact in their lives and help them regain their independence and dignity.

Our Goals

  • Walk the journey with each client, no matter how short or long.
  • Be a resource to those seeking rapid rehousing or permanent supportive housing.
  • Refer to our partnering agencies when their program better fits our client’s goals.
  • Divert clients so they are closer to a more familiar support system.
  • Provide supportive and wrap around services for all clients, inclusive of a holistic case management approach to bring each client to self-sustainability.

We Thank Our Housing Mission Partners

Through our grants, we are able to provide the financial resources in lowering the percentage of those experiencing homelessness in the Greater Williamsburg area and offer the case management necessary to bring clients on the pathway and final destination of self-sustainability.
