Our goal this #GivingTuesday is to show Facebook that Williamsburg cares for our neighbors in need. We have a goal of $11,050 to raise funds for the average cost of one month of

• showers and meals at the Harbor Day Shelter for the Homeless,
• groceries at the Mobile Food Pantry
• an average cost of rehousing homeless families.

While this represents just a fraction of our services, it will make a huge impact as temperatures drop, families look forward to Christmas together, and food and shelter needs rise. Facebook will be matching donations starting at 8am EST on Tuesday, November 27th, #GivingTuesday. (Donate here).

Last month we helped more than 450 families feed their children, sleep in a warm, indoor space, and live life with dignity.

Can your family be one of 450 who donate $25 today to make sure that our December Williamsburg families receive the assistance they need?

Food security, homeless services and Mercy Housing programs have seen a tremendous increase in need this year. As an organization completely reliant on the generosity of donors, funds raised through campaigns like #GivingTuesday give us the flexibility and ability to respond to the individuals who show up at our door with compassion and immediate solutions. We are able to open doors to a more stable future and remove barriers and obstacles to a firm foundation for a new life.

The people impacted most will be the 1 in 6 people in our area who are chronically hungry, families who are on the brink of homelessness, the individuals who are already living in places that are not meant for human inhabitation, and re-entry clients seeking a hopeful return from a period of incarceration.
