As we look to the fall, we will be participating in the United Way Day of Caring service day on September 13th. We will be hosting two major volunteer projects: packaging feminine hygiene products and an outdoor planting project.

The first project is a direct response to the needs of the young women in our community. Many young women miss school and/or work each month because they cannot afford to buy feminine hygiene products.

Throughout August, we will be collecting feminine hygiene products and small cosmetic bags so these young women can discreetly carry their items and continue their education and professional life. We hope to provide a year’s worth of feminine hygiene products to 200+ women. These items will also be made available to homeless women in the area.

Please drop them off at 10 Harrison Avenue, at Saint Bede Catholic Church in the Commons collection bins, or support this drive financially by sending your donation marked “Feminine Hygiene Drive.”
