Williamsburg House of Mercy put together more than 200 Christmas gift bags using donated items from the Saint Bede Catholic Church Senior Giving Tree, homeless care packages from community organizations, and Handmade for the Homeless knitted items from The Flying Needles knitting drive. Bucktrout Funeral Home helped deliver items to Envoy nursing home and Colonial Manor picked up items for their residents as well. These care packages are part of Williamsburg House of Mercy’s efforts to be present and celebrate with the elderly, homeless, and newly housed families during the Christmas season.
