Thank you to everyone who helped us Sleigh Hunger at the first annual community food drive at the Habitat Restore Williamsburg!

Habitat Restore Williamsburg hosted a community food drive for Grove Christian Outreach Center and Williamsburg House of Mercy. The community donated more than 7,500 pounds of food at a critical time, as food pantries experience an increase in need and decrease in donations. Local businesses helped make the event a success by hosting food drives and by providing hospitality to the volunteers who worked the food drive. Thank you to The Arc of Greater Williamsburg, Budget Blinds, Abbitt Realty Company, Consociate Media, and Marker Nine for hosting food drives; Southern Pancake and Waffle House for breakfast; Bellissimo’s Pizza and Rocco’s Smokehouse Grill for lunch; 2nd Street Bistro for dinner, Colonial Sports for t-shirts; and all of our volunteers, including James City County Police, William & Mary Football Team, and Custom Vinyl Products CVP, who kept the food line open for 12 hours in the summer heat!
