Williamsburg House of Mercy welcomed seniors from Williamsburg Christian Academy as they helped prepare for the Thanksgiving Basket packing day. These seniors came and set the stage for packaging more than 300 families’ Thanksgiving meal ingredients. With a full menu of items, the majority of Williamsburg House of Mercy’s space is converted to an assembly line of canned and boxed goods, complete with turkeys brought in next week. The canned goods and turkeys are donated and purchased through the generosity of the local community, including local businesses.

The Williamsburg House of Mercy partners with over 15 faith groups and various businesses and nonprofit organizations to help minister to the poor and homeless in Williamsburg. They see men, women, and children who are in desperate need of the basic necessities, including food and shelter. Services and programs focus on a mission of providing financial assistance, food stability, homeless services, crisis pregnancy support, homeless rehousing and other outreach assistance to the greater Williamsburg community.
