As we look to the fall, we are already preparing for our Thanksgiving distribution, winter Clothing Markets, and three fundraisers: Menchie’s Spirit Night on September 29th, a Thanksgiving Wine & Paint Night on October 21st, and a Halloween Golf Tournament on October 31st.

Housing and Shelter: Every day we continue receiving new requests for housing support and homeless services. With 38 individuals moved into stable housing this summer, our temporary shelter, move-in fees, and supplies have been a large budget item.

Food Security: Every week we are serving nearly 250 families more than 8,400 pounds of food from our food pantry. Material donations are going quickly back out to the community at our Clothing and Housewares Markets, which serve an average of 337 individuals each month.

Please help us by donating food and/or financially contributing. Thank you for your support at this critical time!

Meet our new Director of Development, Liz Buckley!

Liz is a New York City native who started calling Williamsburg her hometown in late 2020. She is excited to bring her experience in program management and fundraising to help us keep families fed, housed, and sheltered. Liz is looking forward to meeting all the hands that have helped shape what Williamsburg House of Mercy is today and expanding the philanthropic support for the Williamsburg House of Mercy of tomorrow. She is also offering tours of the Food Project warehouse and our 10 Harrison Avenue spaces for anyone interested.

Join us in welcoming her and say hello at [email protected] or 757-229-3700 x2019!
