Message from our director, Shannon Woloszynowski

Over the past few months, we have seen a dramatic increase in food security needs as well. We are grateful for all of those who serve and donate food. We would like to welcome our newest community partner, Publix Supermarkets. Thanks to Publix, more of our families have access to an abundance of fresh bakery items, including much needed bread for making sandwiches for school lunches. Yet, we are still struggling to keep our shelf stable food pantry stocked with canned and boxed items. Just last month, we provided food for a record breaking 1076 individuals! We are so grateful for the individuals and the local businesses who are hosting food drives and donating to the turkey fund. Time and time again, we see Williamsburg demonstrating that we are truly a community committed to “Be Mercy” and meet the needs of our neighbors.

If you would like to be involved, please consider hosting a food drive, donate on Facebook for Giving Tuesday on November 27th, and/or remember our second collection on December 2nd.

Words of thanks..

“Each and every one of you make a difference in people’s lives daily! Going above and beyond the call of duty makes you a very special person. We are truly grateful for you. May God bless you.”

“Thank you for believing in me and giving me a chance to get out from under my former lifestyle. I’ve been promoted to foreman and have a car payment now.”

“The fresh papaya was awesome with a little honey. I mushed the papaya & honey & froze it for a nice cool dessert. Thank you to everyone who makes this possible for us recipients. I know I greatly appreciate every month.”
